“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”

Psychotherapy
psyche (soul) therapeia (care of)
Do you feel stuck? Confused? Frustrated? Hopeless?
Do you find yourself repeating behaviors that you would rather not?
Are you feeling tension in a relationship?
Are you lonely?
Do you feel persistent pain?
Do you wonder if you are depressed or have anxiety?
While all of these experiences come as unwelcome guests, they may in fact, be the deeper Self (psyche) demanding your attention.
And so you are here.
As I understand and practice, psychotherapy is the process of caring for, and attending to the needs of the deeper Self, which often manifest in what we call “symptoms”, as mentioned above. No two people are alike, and as we explore your personal story we will attempt to discover and address what might be at the root of your troubles.
It is in the course of this mysterious process that the symptoms may lose their intensity or importance in your life. And it is not uncommon that this work can be the catalyst for a deeper exploration in to your meaning and purpose in the world.
